Parlophone label types for singles and ep's

1963 - red label
Singles corresponding to the UK releases was issued on this label with UK catalouge numbers - with or without "Recording first published.." at the right or the left side of the label.
1964 - black label
All red label issues were reissued on the black label.
1964-65 - purple label
The purple label with "full circle" was transitional and only a few singles was issued  with that label colour.

1965-68 - full circle label
Same logo as the first generation but now with "full circle".
With or without "Recording first published.."
(if witout - replaced with "p 19xx")
All previous Parlophone issues were reissued on this label style.
1967-68 - no pushout centre
Singles without push out centre are probably issues from 1967-68.
With EMI appearing for the first time.
1969 - with EMI box
Some singles were reissued with labels with one EMI box and the English "All rights...." text. Probably very late sixties/early seventies.




Odeon label types for singles and ep's

1963 - red 1st generation
S ingles with Scandinavian origin  were issued on this label.
Prefixes corresponding to their country - DK for Denmark, ND for Norway and SD for Sweden.
With "Recording first published.." written on the label.
1964 - black 1st generation
All red label issues were reissued on the black label.

1964 - blue 1st generation
Transitional label style. Beatles only issued on single with the blue label - the second pressing off Long tall Sally, Odeon DK 1622.

1964-65 - purple 2nd generation
New logo desig from 1964.
 
With or without "Recording first published.." at the left or the right side of the label (if without it is replaced with "p 19xx")
The purple label was transitional and only a few singles was issued  with that label colour.
1965-68 - black 2nd generation
All previous label issues were reissued on the second generation black label style.




Apple label for singles

In 1969 beatles changed to their own Apple label. With or without "An E.M.I. recording" label text.
